Social Events

Stikeman Elliott is an exceptionally friendly, informal and enjoyable place to work. We work very well together and, away from the office, lawyers, students and staff enjoy frequent informal social and sporting activities that are diverse and can be enjoyed by all, including:

Sports:  Street hockey tournament; whitewater rafting, beach volleyball, Grey Cup tribute flag football game; curling and bi-weekly pick-up basketball games.

Team Building:  Monthly student/associate meetings followed by dinner; quarterly firm dinners; a cocktail and snack hour at the end of the day every Friday for lawyers and students to mingle and unwind from the week.

Celebration Events:  Welcome parties for incoming summer and articling students; farewell parties for summer students; a bar call reception for our articling students; a welcome reception for new associates; a family picnic for all firm members; a winter dinner/dance for all lawyers, students and their significant others; a year-end lunch for all firm members; an annual weekend in Banff and a Stampede party for all lawyers, students and their significant others;

Charitable Events:  Students and lawyers participate in a number of social events and activities to benefit various charities, including CIBC Run for the Cure, the Mother's Day Run and Walk; the United Way, Adopt-a-Family; clothing and food drives and sports tournaments.
