1. If you had to describe Stikeman Elliott in one word, what would it be?
- Entrepreneurial.
- Dynamic.
2. What would you say are the top three reasons to join Stikeman Elliott?
- Quality of work, level of responsibility given to juniors and the collegial nature of the firm.
- Great people, quality of work, opportunity.
3. What surprised you most about the firm after you joined?
- The approachability of all lawyers at the firm.
- How approachable and helpful our senior lawyers are. I have never felt uncomfortable approaching a lawyer of any level for help or advice.
4. How would you describe the atmosphere at the firm?
- Team-like - everyone recognizes that our success depends on each other.
- Collegial.
5. What has been your best experience at Stikeman Elliott so far?
- The opportunity to work on a broad array of interesting files.
- Playing a key role on interesting files and firm retreats in Banff and Miami.
6. What is your favourite social event at the firm?
- Impromptu drinks after work
- The annual golf/spa trip to Banff
7. What myth about Stikeman Elliott do you most want to dispel?
- That Stikeman Elliott is stuffy or conservative - it's definitely not!
- That Stikes is a 'sweat shop'. Stikes has created an environment where expectations are high and students/associates are constantly challenged. However, students and associates are encouraged and expected to have a life outside of work.
