Our Hiring Policy

We are proud to offer to our stagiaires the opportunity to practice law with us, as a lawyer, upon successful completion of their stage, subject to the availability of positions in the various sectors of the Firm and for an undetermined period of time. Our stagiaires and associates progress in the firm in keeping with their professional development, which will be reviewed periodically. We assess our students' work each summer, that of the stagiaires every three months and the young associates' work every six months.

In order to efficiently maintain this policy, it is essential for us to get to know our stagiaires well. We therefore require that stagiaires wishing to benefit from this policy work with us for at least one summer prior to the beginning of their stage, that the stage be completed within a period of six consecutive months in the firm (barring exceptions) and, finally, that their training (École du Barreau du Québec, graduate studies or other professional experiences) be completed prior to the commencement of their stage so that their career begins immediately at the conclusion of their stage.

We are perhaps the only firm in Quebec to offer such an opportunity. To us, a stage is a learning period, not a screening process. We believe in our students and stagiaires and we are determined to invest our efforts and energy in them to see them succeed. From day one, they are part of the team and become our future.
