Law Practice
Kim Alexander-Cook practises corporate regulatory and administrative law. He advises on the full range of competition and consumer protection law matters, including the mergers and acquisitions, marketing and advertising, and distribution practices provisions of the Competition Act, as well as other federal regulatory matters, including regulated product compliance, trade law matters (dumping, countervailing and other remedies) and foreign investment regulation.
Mr. Alexander-Cook routinely represents clients before the Competition Bureau, Health Canada agencies and other federal agencies in connection with transactions and compliance matters. He has appeared before the Competition Tribunal, the Canadian International Trade Tribunal, and the Federal Court of Appeal.
Mr. Alexander-Cook has advised clients in industries including financial services, food and consumer products, pharmaceuticals and health products, transportation, oil and gas, metals, wholesale and retail distribution, real estate and a variety of manufacturing and service industries.
Prior to entering law, Mr. Alexander-Cook worked in the fields of financial and industrial organization economics.

Professional Activities
Mr. Alexander-Cook is vice-chair of the Marketing Practices Committee, Canadian Bar Association, Competition Law Section. He is actively involved in the American Bar Association Antitrust Section, the Canadian Bar Association International Law Section, and is a member of the Canadian Economics Association.
