Law Practice
Maria Konyukhova is a litigation partner in Stikeman Elliott's Toronto office and practises exclusively in the area of insolvency law and represents debtors, court appointed monitors, court officers, secured lenders and purchasers. She frequently appears in Commercial List matters before the Ontario Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal, focusing on Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act proceedings, court-appointed receiverships and bankruptcies. She has also appeared before the Alberta, British Columbia, Nova Scotia, New Brunswick and Manitoba Courts in restructuring matters.

Ms. Konyukhova is recognized in Chambers Canada 2017 as a leading lawyer in Restructuring/Insolvency, and is noted as "an up-and-coming star, and a go-to younger professional" who is "very bright, diligent and effective." She is also ranked by the International Financial Law Review's IFLR1000: The Guide to the World's Leading Financial Law Firms 2017 as a Rising Star in Restructuring and Insolvency. She is a recipient of Benchmark Canada's Emerging Talent of the Year award for 2017.

Professional Activities
Ms. Konyukhova has been a guest lecturer on restructurings at the Osgoode Hall Law School LLM program, the University of Western Ontario Law School and at numerous conferences. She is an assistant editor of the Banking Law and Finance Review and a member of INSOL International, the Turnaround Management Association, the International Women's Insolvency & Restructuring Confederation, and the Ontario Bar Association.
