Vanessa Coiteux
Law Practice
Vanessa Coiteux is a partner and member of the Corporate/Commercial Group in the Montréal office. Her practice focuses on securities, public and private mergers and acquisitions and corporate financing.

She frequently advises issuers and underwriters in connection with public and private offerings in Canada and abroad, as well as TSX-listed securities issuers on regulatory compliance, corporate governance and continuous disclosure requirements matters.

Ms. Coiteux specializes in cybersecurity and advises public and private companies on legal, ethical and governance issues regarding cybersecurity by offering them strategic advice on risk management. She advises clients on a wide range of privacy, data security and information management matters, including information security breach responses, compliance and disclosure as well as legal, and provides opinions on best cybersecurity business practices.

Ms. Coiteux works with businesses from various industry sectors including the engineering, communications, computer science, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and retail industries.

Ms. Coiteux has been recognized by Best Lawyers in Canada 2017 for her expertise in the mergers & acquisitions and securities law sectors.

Professional Activities
Ms. Coiteux is a member of the Young Bar Association of Montreal and the Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal. She is also Co-chair of the committee in charge of recruiting students and she acts, among other things, as mentor for lawyers, students and stagiaires. She is also a member of the Montreal Office's Premises Committee.

Community Involvement
Ms. Coiteux is a member of the board of directors and President of the Governance Committee of the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation.
