Law Practice
Chip Johnston is a partner in Stikeman Elliott's Corporate Group in Calgary. His practice focuses on mergers and acquisitions and capital markets financings, primarily with clients in the energy sector. Mr. Johnston acts for financial and strategic investors, management teams and public companies. His practice is balanced between Canadian and international clients, and involves the acquisition and sale of private and public companies, initial private and public financings, equity offerings and acquisitions in new markets and the management and completion of substantial investments in public companies.

Prior to joining Stikeman Elliott, Mr. Johnston was a partner at another significant Calgary-based firm where he was co-chair of the firm's Private Equity Group. He also clerked at the Court of Appeal of Alberta before being called to the Alberta Bar.
