The AV Technician/Analyst is responsible for setting up and supporting our state of the art technology equipment in our beautiful conference centre located on the 53rd floor of Commerce Court West. In addition to video conferencing, AV set-up, smartboards, LCD screens, etc., the Analyst will also be responsible for setting up and maintaining mobile phones and VoIP desk phones for employees across our 8 international offices.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Installs, troubleshoots and upgrades Mobile devices for all Stikeman offices
  • Maintains and administers MDM solution (Intune, XenMobile, BES)
  • Maintains Mobile device inventory
  • Responsible for ordering/cancelling Mobile devices and accounts for all Stikeman offices
  • Works with vendors to resolve all Mobile device account issues
  • Responsible for co-ordinating the connection of all audio and video conference meetings
  • Responsible for assisting internal and external clients with all technology requests in boardrooms
  • Responsible for maintaining inventory of technology in boardrooms
  • Analyzes and makes recommendations about current and future user requirements, procedures, problems and develops innovative, cost-effective technology-based solutions to improve and support the firm’s technology
  • Logs in the call tracking software the completion and resolution of all assigned call-sheets Escalates calls to third level support when required
  • Appraises the Telecom and Security Manager regularly, informing of the status of all on-going projects and unresolved work orders

Knowledge and Experience:

  • Must have college or university degree in Computer Science
  • Must have experience in providing application support in a complex environment
  • Must have knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and PC hardware
  • Must have an understanding of wireless communications, BlackBerrys, and iPhones/iPads
  • Must have previous experience working with vendors such as Bell and Rogers
  • Knowledge of operation of video conferencing system (Cisco, Crestron, TMS), computer/overhead projectors, TV, telephones (incl. Polycom units), cameras (Cisco SX10, SX80 units)

  • Proven organizational skills and time management capabilities
  • Excellent analytical skills (ability to isolate causes of potential problems and determine appropriate solutions)

  • Must be detail-oriented and have excellent record management skills
  • Must have the capacity to learn and apply new skills quickly
  • Solid understanding of service quality principles and strong customer service orientation
  • Must have an enthusiastic disposition and be self-motivated
