Welcome to Stikeman Elliott Montréal

A message from our Students & Stagiaires Committee

We are nearly there! As we draw closer to mid-August, many of you are anticipating the long-awaited event of this summer: the start of the Course aux stages 2020.

In recent weeks, candidates received information that the Course aux stages 2020 will take place in its entirety remotely. The current situation being what it is, this Course aux stages is sure to be unlike any other – yet our Students & Stagiaires Committee and Legal Talent team have spared no effort to ensure that we offer you the full and unabridged Stikeman Elliott recruitment experience, as well as exciting and unique opportunities to get to know us like never before.

To help you move through this process confidently, we have created a new web page which includes key dates, an FAQ and important interview instructions as well as a virtual sneak peek of our work environment . We invite you take the time to peruse these resources available to you.

Keep in mind that we are here for you and encourage you to communicate with us should you have any specific concerns or questions concerning the interview process. We are excited to meet you and we hope you are too!

“Professional development is something that's very interesting for us as lawyers because you feel that you're trusted early on in the process. They invest a lot in you.”

"Stikeman Elliott encourages its students to take initiative. From the outset, we are granted a high degree of autonomy and are given a lot of responsibility."

"Furthermore, the work environment is highly conducive to the honing of various business development skills, as the students must converse with lawyers in order to solicit their own mandates. Not only are we exposed to highly complex and stimulating mandates early on, but we also have the opportunities to work alongside many diverse, and well-rounded individuals."
