Ken Ottenbreit honoured with Lifetime Achievement Award from alma mater

Ken OttenbreitWe are proud to announce that Ken Ottenbreit, Managing Principal of our New York office, is the 2018 recipient of the Lifetime Achievement Award from the University of Regina’s Alumni Crowning Achievement Awards (ACAA). Held on October 18th, 2018, in Regina, Saskatchewan, the ACAA recognizes those who have made significant contributions in their communities and is one of the highest honours given to distinguished alumni.

After joining Stikeman Elliott’s Toronto office in 1983, Ken moved to the U.S. to join our New York office on a temporary basis in 1988. Now 30 years later, Ken has become an invaluable community member and is now known as the Canadian lawyer to call in the U.S. for Canada-U.S. transactions.

Ken is a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation and recipient of The Queen’s Golden Jubilee Medal. He dedicates a substantial amount of time to his community by serving on the Board of Directors for Ice Hockey in Harlem, an education and sports-related program for neighbourhood children, and the Achilles International, an organization that enables persons with disabilities to participate in running events. Ken is also the Founder and Chairman of the annual Terry Fox Run for Cancer Research in New York City.
