Samantha Horn receives Canada’s Most Powerful Women Award and is inducted into the Hall of Fame

Congratulations to Samantha Horn winner of the Women’s Executive Network’s 2017 Top 100 Award in the Hall of Fame category. Samantha’s excellence within the legal community and her dedication to client services has repeatedly been recognized by her inclusion amongst WXN’s list of Canada’s Most Powerful Women. The award recognizes Samantha for her leadership and mentorship roles within Stikeman Elliott, and the broader legal community.

Samantha HornSamantha is a leader and a member of numerous organizations that focus on the advancement of women in various corporate professions. She is a founding and executive member of the Private Equity Committee of the Canadian Venture Capital Private Equity Association (CVCA), and a member of the Women in Capital Markets, and Women’s Association of Venture and Equity. Samantha is a part of the firm’s Women’s Initiative Group which encourages and supports women’s causes through community building, seminars, unconscious bias training and other workshops and events. She has spoken at various capacities regarding board diversity and gender on boards. Her efforts toward the promotion of the advancement of women in law have contributed to the firm’s recognition with the Profiles in Diversity Journal’s Award of Excellence.

The awards gala took place in Toronto on November 23rd. Stikeman Elliott would like to congratulate all the exceptional women honoured at this event.
