COVID-19: Government Economic and Tax Resources

Canadian governments – federal, provincial, territorial and municipal – are regularly announcing new initiatives that are designed to help people and businesses deal with the impact of COVID-19. To date, these announcements have dealt with issues such as the following:

  • Temporary relaxation of certain tax filing obligations;
  • Funding for workers who are laid off or required at home;
  • Credit availability measures for business;
  • Measures aimed at increasing financial market liquidity; and
